About Your Rent

  • Rent is due on the first of the month!
  • Always mail your rent so it will be received before the 9th day of the month!
  • Do not hand deliver your payment to the main office and do not send by certified mail!
  • Your rent payment Must be mailed to: P.O. Box 628, Fultondale, AL 35068!
  • If your rent payment is received after the 9th of the month a $25 late fee is charged.
  • If your rent is late you are in default of the lease agreement.
  • Your account will be placed in a non receipt status for partial payments

"It's In Your Lease"

  • Section III-Paragraph (A): "Once a year, or as otherwise required by Landlord, Tenant agrees to furnish a signed statement and certification containing accurate information regarding family income, employment and family composition, for use by Landlord in redetermining rent, dwelling size and continued eligibility for assisted housing. In the event of failure or refusal of Tenant to report such information as required, Landlord may terminate this lease."

  • Section III, Paragraph (C): "Within ten (10) calendar days after there is a change in family income or family composition, Tenant agrees to provide to Landlord verifiable information regarding such change."

  • Section IV, paragraph (D): "That guest may visit with the consent of a household member. The Tenant agrees that no member of the Tenant household authorized to reside in the unit shall have a guest for more than 14 days within a calendar year without the prior written consent of the Landlord."

  • Section IV-Paragraph (G): "To keep premises and such other areas as may be assigned to the Tenant for the Tenant's exclusive use, in a clean and safe condition."

  • Section IV-Paragraph (L): "To act, and cause household members or guest to act, in a manner which will not disturb other Tenants' peaceful enjoyment of their accommodations and will be conducive to maintaining the project in a decent, safe and sanitary condition."

  • Section IV-Paragraph (P): "Not to keep or allow dogs, cats, or any other animals or pets on the premises without the prior written consent of Landlord and in accordance with the Landlord's pet policy."

  • Section IV-Paragraph (AA): "Not to illegally discharge any type of firearm and not to possess any illegal and/or unregistered fire arm in or near the premises. This includes but is not limited to B.B. guns and air powered rifles."

Notes and Reminders:

Interim Changes: To report any change in family income or family composition residents must call the management office to schedule an appointment. "No longer" will you be seen or attended to without a previously scheduled appointment.


Applications:

Beginning January 14th through 16th, 2025, you may PICK UP a Public Housing Application on Monday thru Thursday, 8:00A.M. to 12:00 P.M. & 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. from the Jefferson County Housing Authority's Fultondale Office at 2100 Stoney Brook Lane, Fultondale, AL 35068. You can also print an application from the website www.JCHA.com.


Vehicles:

INOPERABLE, FLAT TIRES, NO TAG, ABANDON, JACKED/PROPED UP AND EXPIRED TAGS will be towed off the property within 48 hours (2 days). The cost to recover the vehicle will be at the owner's expense.


Trash

Trash cans are to be pulled back to the unit after trash pickup on Friday. All trash cans on curb on Monday will be charged $25.00 noncompliance. LARGE furniture pick-ups are WEDNESDAY mornings starting at 7:00 AM. Please do not put any furniture out until TUESDAY evening. NO EXCEPTIONS!
