Reminders:

• Please call the management office to schedule an appointment to make changes to your family composition or family income. This includes the loss of income, the start of a new job, an increase in the number of hours worked or a decrease in the number of hours worked, or an annual pay raise. Income also includes social security benefits, retirement pensions and supplemental security Income (SSI), self-employment, bills that are paid for you, or money received from family members or friends.
• Don't forget to mail rent payments and payments for maintenance charges to P.O. Box 677, Warrior, AL 35180. Make out your money order payable to: Jefferson County Housing Authority (JCHA)-not payable to P.O. box 677.
• If you need to see the Housing Manager about other matters or issues (other than your recertification or interim) you must call the office to make an appointment. Please just don't drop in. To schedule an appointment, you must call the management office prior to arriving at the office.

• Tricks to make a new HEALTHY habit stick in 30 days.
• Take a 30-day pledge: Vow to stay with your change for 30 days.
• Commit to the habit daily: if you want to exercise do it daily during the 30-day time commitment.
• Be consistent: During the 30 days, try to do the habit at the same time each day and in the same place.
• Cut off negative thoughts with "but": anytime you start to talk yourself out of your new habit, interrupt the thought with "but." I don't have time to exercise, "but I will find time because exercising is important to me."
